Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Claims

When a negligent person’s motor vehicle injures or kills someone but the negligent person’s vehicle does not have insurance or does not have enough insurance coverage to pay for the injuries and/or death and damages, a claim can be made against your own motor vehicle insurance company under the uninsured or underinsured motor vehicle coverage.

A claim can be made against your own motor vehicle insurance company under the uninsured or underinsured motor vehicle coverage.Although uninsured motorist coverage is mandatory in Missouri with minimal limits of $25,000.00, underinsured motorist coverage is not mandatory.

Consequently, we suggest checking with your insurance agent about obtaining this coverage - which is usually rather inexpensive - and increasing the limits of uninsured motorist coverage.
